Embed a Tweet

How to Get Your Tweets into Your Website

Twitter has allowed for embedding for Tweets for quite some time now.  This is the first time I have taken advantage of the feature.  It was quite simple:

  1. Find the Tweet you want to embedd
  2. Click the small triangle next to More
  3. Choose embed
  4. Copy code
  5. Go to your website
  6. Paste the code

Here is what they look like:

Why Embed a Tweet?

There are many reasons you might want to embed a Tweet:

  • This is a photo of me speaking at a business networking meeting.  I could use this to market my speaking or to promote the meeting.
  • I have seen people embed a Twitter post on an error page for their website. This is very effective if the site is down and it is a Tweet about the problem.  The comments and replies get added as well so the issue can be followed by visitors instead of everyone contacting the support team.
  • Show the popularity of a service or product
  • Embed a Vine video
  • Share a Twitter conversation relevant to your business
  • Share a Twitter testimonial or review

What other reasons can you think of to embed a Tweet?

Step by Step and Data Visualization

Pinterest Pinning

Sample Infographic

An Infographic tells the viewer information on a process, graphical data, or anything that can be put into an image.

Why use Infographics?

  • Visual content drives engagement. In fact, just one month after the introduction of Facebook timeline for brands, visual content — photos and videos — saw a 65% increase in engagement. (Source: Simply Measured)
  • 40% of people will respond better to visual information than plain text. (Source: Zabisco)
  • On Facebook, photos perform best for likes, comments, and shares as compared to text, video, and links. (Source: Dan Zarrella)
  • Pinterest generated more referral traffic for businesses than Google+, YouTube, and LinkedIn combined. (Source: Shareaholic)
  • Articles with images get 94% more total views

People like images, they digest information in graphics quicker, and they like the SHARE images. Are you loosing out on this type of Social Engagement?

It is likely that you do not own or know how to use Photoshop (huge learning curve) ~ so here are a few alternatives that you can explore.

  • Visual.ly ~ Visually is a one-stop shop for the creation of data visualizations and infographics, bringing together Marketing Gurus, Data Nerds and Design Junkies based on shared interests.
  • Infogr.am ~ Gives you templates to add your data to, then download or share the created Infographic
  • Easel.ly ~ Theme based web app for creating Infographics, and visualizing your data
  • Piktochart ~ Theme based WYSWYG editor to create your own Infographics. They have a free and paid level.

These websites all allow you to create a graphic based upon your data and input using the layout they provide. This removes the need to create your own layout or to hire someone to create the layout for you. They all have limitations but overall they are a great solution to hiring it done to use in Social Media.

Personal Brand

Why is Personal Branding important?

If you are a business owner or an employee ~ personal branding is important because people buy from people they like, know, and trust.  A Personal Brand is just as important as a business brand, especially if you are in sales!

Vizify as a Personal Branding Tool

Vizify is a very simple website that creates a pictorial bio of you.  Then you can link to the profile and embed it in your email.  It allows you to upload images, sync with social media accounts, enter your location, add links, and enter text.

Personal Branding Vizify

Dotty’s Vizify page

The Vizify pages can be customized to your colors and you can add (or not add) specific modules.  This gives you the flexibility to include just what you are wanting to include.  Some of the modules are are interactive like the Locations allows you to enter all your previous locations and a plane flys around the map showing your location history. (You do NOT have to use this feature).  The Foursquare module shows a breakdown of your Checkins.

I have used:

Personal Brand Email Signature

Dotty’s Email Signature

  • Links area to link to all the other Online Profiles and websites that I have on the Internet
  • Photo module several times to upload awards, logos, and images of myself with important people in my field
  • Foursquare
  • Quotes to enter in some of my favorite sayings
  • Experience
  • Factoids

Once you have your profile built out (took me about 30 min total) you can share it on Social Media sites and embed it into your email signature.  Here is how it shows up in my email:

Personal Branding is the same as your Personal Reputation.  Online is it a way to build trust, credibility, a following, and to make sales.  It is part of what will set you apart from your competition.  Be the leader in your industry with your Personal Branding and Vizify will help!
